The Wasini Marine Park, located near the southern tip of Kenya, is a popular diving spot for those visiting Diani Beach. The clear waters provide excellent visibility, making it easy for divers to take in the beauty of the underwater world.

Wasini Marine Park is part of Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park situated on the southern coast of Kenya near Shimoni and south of Wasini Island in Kwale District near the Tanzanian border. Wasini Marine Park covers an area of 11 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi) with four small islands surrounded by coral reef.

Marine life is in abundance, including trigger fish, moray eels, angelfish. You will also find butterfly fish, groupers, parrotfish, wrasses, scorpionfish, pufferfish, damselfish, rays. We might see snappers, green sea turtles, hawksbill turtles and dolphins. Humpback whales and whale sharks are seasonal.

Other famous diving spots around Diani Beach include:

  1. Baobab:
A large reef that extends to the south. The tip of the reef starts a little above -10 m. It is a home turtles and guitar rays.
  2. Tiwi Beach:
North of Diani Beach, about 35 min of navigation. This reef, where corals abound, is a superb drop-off ranging from -6 m to -27 m. Visibility is very variable, strongly favored by the flow of the Tiwi River which flows into the sea. This is also where a school of Barracudas lives.
  3. Kinondo Beach:
South of Diani Beach, 30 min of navigation depending on the current. One of our favorite dive site. The main reef, easy to access on a daily basis, begins at -10 m. It ends in the -30 m zone, the reef is varied (gentle slopes and steep walls).
